Abstract

As we strive to ensure patient safety, we continually realize the importance of a safe environment. The famous quote stands ‘No one is safe until everyone is safe’. A safe healthcare worker can perform duties of utmost quality. A safe environment ensures patient and healthcare worker safety. Infection prevention and control is cornerstone in achieving patient and healthcare worker safety, and is thus crucial to our ultimate goal of a safe environment. We will discuss how IPC contributes to the total quality of healthcare.
