Infection control as a formal entity was established in the early 1950s in the United States. In1996 CDC published standard precaution. Body substance isolation (BSI) considers all body substance potentially infectious (feces, nasal secretions, sputum, sweat. tears, urine, and vomitus). In 2007 Guidelines for isolation precaution; preventing transmission of infectious agents in healthcare settings was published. Body substance isolation a generally accomplished through the barrier technique using personal protective equipment&#8217;s (gloves, masks, and gowns) to prevent personal contact with blood or other potentially infectious material. The standard precautions as following, HH, PPE, aseptic technique, cleaning and disinfection, isolation policies, sterilization, waste management.
